Ninebark
Physocarpus opulifolius
Common ninebark is a fast-growing flowering shrub common on streambanks throughout eastern North America. It can grow in difficult conditions and is often used for erosion control. Its bark peels in thin papery strips and its flowers are found in showy white/pink clusters giving it a unique appearance. Many pollinators seek its nectar, and birds seek its fruits.
