Highbush Cranberry
Viburnum trilobum
Highbush cranberry, or American cranberrybush, is a viburnum shrub which thrives in wet areas. It produces bountiful edible fruits and provides food and shelter for many birds and small mammals, as well as deer, moose, and beaver. It is a resilient shrub well-suited for use in erosion control and stream bank restoration.
