Allegheny Serviceberry
Amelanchier laevis
Allegheny serviceberry is a fruiting tree native to much of the east coast. It makes beautiful white flowers and delicious berries which are prized by both humans and wildlife. It is grown ornamentally throughout its range and thrives in a variety of habitats, preferring cool, moist, rich soils.
